sry for double post, i made it on the wrong place :P here should it be... :/

i googled today for dmz because i had a strange dream about one of my maps, i made for dmz, tonight :P confusing, cause i didn´t care about those mapping stuff for years!

oh boy, those were really great days! i made some really nice maps on a german dmz-fan-site for dmz back than :) was so much fun to create them. although dmz was almost dead when i made all those stuff. i wish i would be as much creative as i was back than ^^

maybe you´ll remeber my maps, i kept the old homepages on my server: ht*tp://imd-hd.de/invisible_02/dmzmaps.html
if anyone still wants to play them, here you go: ht*tp://mitglied.lycos.de/noname0987/dl_index.html

(since i am new at moddb, i cant post links. just go and delete those * in the links)

its a damn pitty, that noone is playing dmz anymore :( i loved the old days playing this with friends at LANs :) testing my new maps etc

What you have there, Netrogor, was the final "finished" version of DMZ ever released.

What we did was simultaneously release DMZ Classic, which is what you have, and a newer unfinished version DMZ 1.8.

1.8 was never finished due to, well, just everyone moving on with their lives.

Iragnox, I completely agree with you on the good old days playing DMZ and how it brings back great memories. It's been a while since my Christmas 07 post, and obviously a revival of development on the mod has failed.

But, with that link, which I will also be hosting later, we can at least get a small community back into playing a classic MOD.

My email is eyenine@gmail.com

Anyone interested in making a weekly, or even just a monthly DMZ game for a few hours, email me, I will get everything together.

Pretty soon we will be hucking Spirit Bombs at each other from across the map o_0

Thank you Netrogor for still keeping it around, and supplying the masses with one of my favourite mods.
God it's been four-five years since I last played this, and it still brings tears to my eyes just thinking about the good ol' days.

Back in the day when everyone played CS I even managed to get my entire clan playing DMZ, was an amazing couple of months.

But as always, people move on, except me, who's been sulking about the golden days being lost forever. Shame I didn't google for DMZ earlier, say around Nov 6, -07. Would've been sweet to rally up old friends and get to play with one of the creators. Sincerely hope that people are still playing this, somewhere in their own basements, just LANing like the good ol' days. A couple of friends, a big stock of cola, and DMZ. Life does not get much better my friend, it does not.

I don't know if anybody still cares for this mod... or even if the version I found was the latest release of it... but here's a link to a copy I put up on a site I rent out ->
Netrogor.com

I, in turn, found it from here ->
Halflife2.filefront.com

Not sure how much longer it will last there, though; hence my putting it up on my site, as well.
