The psionic energy that each Neonate has to handle ends up lobotomizing the vast majority of them. They never develop fully, and are very unstable to handle, to the point exploding with psionic energy. Because of this, Failed Neonates are used as powerful anti-air weapons.
So a anti air unit that can turn in to a suicide unit, is that right?
Can't be lobotomized and sentient at the same time. And the sentient one is definitely not suicidal. :P
Failed Neonates are normally buildable and spammable. The normal ones can be obtained only when their shell breaks.
