Endlessly roaming through the Space, an alien fleet is closing to a blue planet. Its inhabitants, blissfully unaware of the upcoming threat, are struggling with the chaos they have to face everyday. And yet, it will all soon change. The world will finally become united against a common enemy. The Earth will never be the same anymore. But what will this war bring? Do the humans stand any chance against such a foe? Will everyone willingly join to fight the alien thread? And why, do the aliens seem to look so human-like?...
"I'm my own master now"
Sometimes a soldier has to do something he hates himself for. Many try to ignore it, and do what they did before. Some are unable to. They start to show their disdain for what they did and what they are, making enemies among those they, not so long before, considered comrades.
Like an old wolf, they have to abandon their pack, cast into the wilderness. Are they able to survive there alone, if their pack was the only thing that mattered until now?
But the survival instinct of the Old Wolves is too strong, they are unable to let it go. Perhaps soon, they will find a use for what they learned... and a new pack of wolves...
So it projects constructs based off the shape of wolves?
It has no relation to its weapon. It still uses the same lightning bolt as it did in the downloadable version of DD.
Oh.
Based on that story, I got this idea:
1. You build this unit in a factory
2. You send it off somewhere remote
3. Click deploy
4. The unit now becomes a rogue hive, hostile to all teams on the map
5. It reproduces new tanks and creates a small perimeter of its own with small turrets around it.
6. The tanks it creates are sent towards the nearest base from the hive.
Can be used as an area-denial weapon, a continuous harassment force against an enemy team or a distraction.
I'm confused. Is what what you think it does, or your idea for what it should do?
It already has a role, and it's much more simple than that. :P
Also, Alucinor already achieves what you wrote, as long as you keep producing units from it.
I guess both. The story gave the impression thats what it does, while the idea is also a suggestion incase it doesn't do what I thought it does.
Cryptic descriptions, man. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
