More reliant on the blue crystals than the other sides, Paladins don't really harvest them. People in Alucinors use psionic projections to accumulate the crystals in energy form, and then transport it to the platform, where they shape that energy into physical objects.

Units can spawn on any cell around it, starting from the bottom (in this case that cell was occupied, so it was created elsewhere).
