Why is the pre-alpha trailer dated as 2001? I highly doubt this has been in development for that long...
I never made it through the trailer - the first couple of seconds put me off.
I should have stuck with it though, because it shows off just how basic the maps are, thus saving me (and everyone else) a download!
Also, with all those credits at the end, you'd think they'd mention where the music was from...
I don't understand why you released this, 'Pre-Alpha' or not.
There's basically nothing here. Aside from the new menu screen (above screenshot), there's three maps which are unbelievably basic and barely playable.
What are you showing off exactly? There's very little in this release, and what's here is very basic, so it's hard to get an idea of what the full mod will be like.
I understand you're excited about having started on a new project, but you need to take your time and actually MAKE something before you can show your mod off. Work on some maps, make them playable and representative of the mod as a whole, and then release those. Then we can see what you're trying to do and how you're going to do it.
I've come across pretty negatively here, and I apologise for that, but this Pre-Alpha is so barebones it's difficult to be positive about it. I could spend an hour in a level editor and come up with something similar to what you've got here.
Again: take your time. Make something WORTH showing off.
