We are looking into a torrent. We prefer not to split up the archives because in our experience, it seems to increase the likelihood of data corruption. We will have a torrent up eventually.

That is not SPANISH nor derivative. It is PORTUGUESE and it is one of the oldest languages in the world still in use.
It was a sugestion due to the max file size being handy but the service is still recent and aparently not international enough for now (at least the interface). Still if the option gets interesting enough i can probably explain how to work with it which isn't much of a issue unless they change something in the meantime.
An option could be to piece up the project either by army or faction?
For example you'd dl the mod with its core system changes and one of the armies, for example all the space marine subfactions. Then you'd have all the other armies as separate packages?
I have no idea if the game permits mods to be pieced up like this though x)
Just curious, how long does it take to load 40GBs worth of data? Seeing as Soulstorm have a very long loading time with big mods and combiner mods, how long?
If it take more than 3 hours to get to the main menu and more than that to start the game then.......Facepalm.
I do not know what sort of hardware you have, but some members of the team do not even had a dual core processor and they are able to load it before three hours. Long before. I believe the longest (i have not actually timed it) was 20 minutes. We will have much more information when release comes later in the coming week.
idk if you ever played the codex mod but that is 6 gigs when extracted and thats what 9 or so including the base game races and this one there are a total of 59 races and other things so that i guess answers your question :D

7zip is being used. The download should be around 3 gigs. So about 43 gigs are needed for extraction. More exact numbers when it is available.

That actually is not rounded. Windows says the size is 3,043,181 kb (2.90220356 GB). So Size on disk is 2.90 Gigs.

It is possible just will not be that way at first. We will consider it after alpha release.
