I like all the bolts. It adds a little "machinery" touch to it, not only being a super-futuristic sci-fi robot.

I like it too, but the other looks a little better just because it looks more cleaner

Aw, I kinda liked the eyes of the old one better. :(
Also, yeah, too many bolts in my opinion, everything looks very futuristic, while they are more suited to old machinery.

But I'm nitpicking, everything else looks much better of course. x3

Tbh i find the bolts to be a really bad choice for such a futuristic design. This is in no way some steam punk design, so those bolts look like a steam engine on a space ship. The old slim plates ( with invisible bolts ) looked much more futuristic. If anything you should add high tech details instead of those huge bolts that kill the techy design. The new eye is also a lot less cool imo - to much battlestar galactica imo. The spider eyes were unique and a lot more high tech. The rest of the details are pretty cool.

Since the texture is now higher detail, why not try adding weld marks around the edges instead of bolts?

Don't you think that would be a good idea to add a "Frank Horrigan" model from Fallout 2?

Crabs and Spiders movement are awkward in USA preview movie. Are you planning to fix the movement of these units?

You know, it was still in the early stage of Alpha. They will move faster than that in the final 008. Camera view makes them look worse. Trust me, they are better from normal camera view.

I like the look of the new model over the old because of the higher detail but I think that there may just be few too many bolts to add to the chain of complaints about it.

I have increased the texture quality for Seraphim mech. This is comparison picture, left is new one, right is old one.

For those who want to see him from the back too, this is his render:
