Concordant Mod is the serious project aimed at doing all races and properties of Soulstorm closer to codex. And it also brings a much better balance, better improved AI and a more realistic(!) gameplay. Dawn of War definitely should be such a game after 3 addons… unfortunately its not. But now Concordant Mod will fix it.

All races of Concordant Mod contain not a little of new units, but their amount is reasonable. There is nothing useless, and no units who duplicate each other functions. Concordant Mod doesn’t add units “JUST FOR ADDING SO MANY NEW UNITS AND MODELS AS POSSIBLE”)) But it adds A LOT of new abilities, new upgrades, new custom properties and characteristics of units, for more interesting, varied and balanced game.

Battles of Concordant Mod more like real Warhammer 40.000 now. All squads of Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines are much stronger and takes 3 points of population, so this 2 races are most expensive, most slow in production and reinforce… But they are a REAL MARINES now, very dangerous for all other units. Also Chaos chooses one of five Marks of Chaos. All Eldars have a few less health, but stronger and more specialized attack (from first Dawn of War), so they must use their mobility even more than in original, be careful and shoot in the back. Dark Eldar and Orks have a special abilities for destruction enemy’s economics. Sisters of Battle converted to The Inquisition and have 3 paths of technology. Mont’ka and Kauyon are more equal now for Tau Empire. Necrons and Imperial Guard has more elite vehicles for more varied gameplay.
Realism. Knife, bayonets and others cant break HQ and tanks now. All grenades and cannons cause damage not only enemies, but Your allies and own squads too. Damaged vehicles get slow and its weapons has a chance to stop shooting for a while. The hit of Vanquisher cannon, or twinlinked-laser, or thermobaric bullet, or Bloodthirster’s axe.. and all powerful weapon kills every light infantry unit at once! Orks don’t use the infiltration. Dark Eldars don’t’use heavy vehicle armour. Necrons don’t have any morale. Etc..

Now we have much more important TERRAIN. All covers affect unit characteristics stronger. Most vehicles became bigger and more realistic so its important now to relocate them attentively. All artillery in the game is more effective and has bigger fire range, but VERY assailable and slow. All projectiles (rockets, artillery, battlecannons) became interactive: so if some missile or heavy bullet misses its target, it will fly longer and its explosion in a random location STILL CAN DAMAGE!!
Game rate, the time of researching, reinforce and resourses (in the beginning) are a little more smooth, something about W40k and Winter Assault. Its now very difficult to win the game by 4-5 minutes, and use some absurd tactics like “fast Tier-4”, so Concordant Mod offers You more harmonious and thoughtful game, but of course(!) NOT tightened over time.

Serious graphic effects boost. All flamers, warp flamers and incinerators are much stronger and they inflame all objects in the attack radius, including buildings and vehicles. The most abilities and auras get visuals, all weapon’s hits and misses are visible too. Acoustic weapons throw infantry. A LOT of blood, especially by chainswords and chainaxes. All vehicles and buildings explosions are more dangerous for Your forces around. Most of sounds get higher. In sum every change makes Soulstorm more spectacular and pleasurable. So prepare Your system, it should work hard)

Hey guys (and ladies)) Wanna say Im sorry for so long waiting of Concordant mod release. It gets huge problems with a free time, because I opened my own tourist business and I was focused just on it all this year… I hope You understand.
