Yea,they are freaking deadly,but im pretty sure the PLA has some surprises in store for the A-10 pilot!
If thats a A10 shouldnt it also use its gun aswell, since its the A10s primary weapon
indeed.. is it just me or is the gau-8 missing? or is it a variable without it and instead carries more payload or some sort?
I read a story once where some US troops got hit by 3 A-10 passes the pilot had a good view so he can't say he didn't see them properly, the soldiers were more uniformed than the Iraqis , and one soldier even started running a US flag around , it'd be horrible , getting pounded by Enemy Mortars and Artillery , than getting strafed by your own Air support.
I agree, the GAU-8 Avenger the 30mm gun on the A-10 thunderbolt II is very big and powerful, it account for most of the aircrafts forward weight and should be more visible.
The GAU-8's bullets is not the size of a can but rather a Bottle of wine.
