I don't do it myself, you'll have to ask Chopin. But I think it's a separate layer with the green camo set as an overlay or reduced opacity or some other filter.

This Sherman look a lot more organic than the Relic version, and thus it look a lot better, relic version is kinda hard and look kinda ugly compared to the North Africa Campaign variant, does Majority of the Sherman tank used on the Normandy Landing are M4A3 Sherman or there is a great number of Sherman like this variant appeared in that Theater as well?

In Normandy cast hull shermans M4A1 were used and also welded hull early Prod M4 but with a more angled Front armorplate then M4A3 and this typical Radio op. and Driver compartment that stands a bit out of the Frontarmorplate ( sry for bad engl.hope u understand it) later also Composite Hull appeared half cast half welded with front part cast

Pretty much all variants were used in Normandy. IMO the Sherman is a good looking tank, but the way relic made it, it didn't do any justice, the proportions and everything are completely screwed, tracks to thick, wrong angles and the horrible ugly skin, also the horrible scale, its almost as big as two coh soldiers stacked on top which is almost 4m and in line with some of the buildings.

So we made our own one. Correct and the way it should be. It's only the m4a1 and m4a2 though.
