The Past Ain't What It Used To Be... The first Command & Conquer received its last official update on the 21st of June, 1996. Since then, the game has been ported to Windows (as "Gold" version), and re-released in the big "The First Decade" collection pack, but has never received any more bug fixes. The C&C Gold Patch 1.06 project aims to bring this classic into the new millennium, by fixing the old bugs, supporting higher resolutions, and adding new modding and mapping possibilities. It also contains an addon-based language system, allowing anyone to create translation packs for the game.
These images show the score screen, map screen and videos stretched vertically without the black lines, using the game's own inbuilt stretching algorithm. It was in there all along, but simply wasn't used.
It's a good thing I never doubted you, or I'd being feeling like an idiot right now.
Hm? Are you referring to the videos stretch thing, or just the fact this moddb page looked kinda dead?
As I already said in some comment in the front page, a lot of updates can't be shown in images, and aren't really worth making a news post for either. The full list of new implemented features and fixes for the current WIP patch can always be consulted on the first page of the development thread in the forum. The website has a link to that.
this is epic!
