The Past Ain't What It Used To Be... The first Command & Conquer received its last official update on the 21st of June, 1996. Since then, the game has been ported to Windows (as "Gold" version), and re-released in the big "The First Decade" collection pack, but has never received any more bug fixes. The C&C Gold Patch 1.06 project aims to bring this classic into the new millennium, by fixing the old bugs, supporting higher resolutions, and adding new modding and mapping possibilities. It also contains an addon-based language system, allowing anyone to create translation packs for the game.

I didn't modify the colour though. That's just the standard C&C1 multiplayer green.

Can you guys put in a skrimish mode?

I would like to kill Nod in that color. :)

Skirmish is already in. For more info, I kindly advise you to read the last paragraphs of the "Brief History" news announcement I posted.

Seriously though, try it out? The patch is on my site.

Description

A quick test of the colour customization logics, including the ability to give one house different colours for its units and for its structures, like Nod has. In the mission file, the house info looks like this:

[GoodGuy]
Allies=GoodGuy
Edge=North
Credits=40
ColorScheme=Teal
SecondaryScheme=Green
BuildingRadarColor=211
UnitRadarColor=161

Note that the radar colours are specified as palette indexes here. Usually it's simpler to just use the RadarScheme= tag to copy both radar colours from a different existing colour scheme.

The patch adds two additional colour schemes, DarkGray and Brown, for use in missions.
