Command and Conquer: Tactical is a Command & Conquer: Generals Zero hour mod, that changes the gameplay completely, adding new features, powers, ways of gameplay. The mod will feature gameplay similiar to the one seen in World in Conflict and that means, no base building, just plain action from the start.

Changes to the gameplay:
1. Removed base building.
2. Removed supply piles and docks.
3. Remove/ add/ change some General Powers.
4. Change cost and build times for all units.
5. Add a population cap.
6. Add new map types.
7. Create new captureable buildings that provide money.
And thats about it! If u have any suggestions, feel free to post them in the comments.
The mod for now, wont feature any new units, just new powers, gameplay and some captureable structures.

Is the pop-limit implemented via SimultaneousOfType or power?
ITs funny but the main reason I always ended up taking statergy games back to the shop and going back to my command and conquer games was the population limits the games insisted on having.
I am open to reason but why would a population limit make the game fun?

I can appreciate you want to make the game diffrent but my main point for posting is this...
Imagine if Empire earth had the AI, textures and particle effects of C&C generals, or that C&C generals had the epic size maps and infostructure of empire earth.
That would be amazing why ruin it with a population limit?

I agree that unit limits are no fun. When it comes to certain units however, like Epic units it's pretty desireable that they can't be build in mass numbers, defenately in the hands of the AI(try Moddb.com vs a hard Japan AI on a naval map if you don't believe me)
Power
The only new thing in the gameplay changes is the addition of a pop cap . Everything else I have seen implemented in other mods including; Operation Garbo(removal of bases), CWC(supply buildings to capture) and Shockwave(New map types).
That's not to say it won't be a good mod.
The first download is awaiting moderation. This will likely take a few days. Then you can download and try the mod. Thank you for your patience.
