CoD is a GAME. A HUGE majority of Russians had guns. If a Russian soldier did not have a firearm, it was probably because he LOST it. The Russians didn't beat the germans by throwing rocks at them and charging at them with their bare hands. Oh, and they didn't shoot people who retreated eithier (at least not immediatley.)
Eastern Front is a GAME. Conscripts only have 4 rifles between 8 men at the beginning of the game, but research doubles their firepower to one rifle per man.
actually, in the battle of stalingrad, the Russians did charge at the Germans, not with their bare hands, but with their Supyerka (Sorry for spelling), a russian shovel. Many Germans did the same thing. Some Germans and Russians were so desperate, they did indeed have fistfights after their rifles jammed, or if they were in close quarters.
actually alot of the russians had to pick up their dead comrades weapons or german weapon, and they actually did often execute the retreating men.

but hey what do you expect? he executed and replaced nearly every experienced officer in the red army..

Guards are available for all doctrines.
Stay away from the Enemy at the Gates and Call of Duty perspectives and this will be a great mod :)
We prefer gameplay over realism, small historical exaggerations can make things more interesting. We know the lack of rifles thing has been blown out of proportions over the years, but we are still including it. Why? Well, it keeps things interesting.

The men without the Rifles die first, so there's no need for it.
is the ostheer units cheap to produce and have capable numerosity like the red army? is this game balanced between ostheer and red army?
Stop asking questions about the goddamn Ostheer! They haven't been added yet, we can't answer any balance questions about them!
if the conscips get right next to the german inf they should be able to well kick the crap out of um...sorry for the language but that would also probably be asking for alot
Who should be able to kick who? Conscripts are fresh units with no combat experience and a lack of rifles... but they have some major power in numbers and when upgraded

listen please could you add Rolik team they were 4 soldiers that experienced the war(true story) that were inspiring soldiers because always when Rolik was defending Germans failed this alway inspired soldiers maybe you could add it at cqb doctrine(the one at which you can have a hero sniper and partizan's ) just like Germans that are having blitzkrieg there would be Rolik or something this guys were very experienced soldiers

You know to be honest, you have a major problem talking to fans or followers. In all truth, you talk to them as if they are just trying to aggravate you but all they are trying to do is ask you questions about the mod, provide feedback whether it is positive or negative, and learn more about the mod. You on the other hand, seem to get very incompetent with the mod's followers. What is the point of posting a video, screen shot, or news article if you expect them to read it and go on? Especially with a mod as good as this one is turning out to be?

I said "Possibly", I didn't say "Shut the **** up and stop being so ridiculous"... yeah, I can be a bastard, its a hobby... what gets on my tits is when people come in here and say "Add this vehicle, add that faction, they look overpowered, they look underpowered, this is unrealistic, that skin is wrong"... so forgive me for getting ****** off when a lot of people just come in here and demand ****.

Engineers with american M3 (greaser) look funny, I didn't saw the PPS-43 as mentioned.
I can't understand why conscripts (recruits) without weapons after 1942 if we judge by that they wear epaulets (especially after Second Front opening in 6th June 1944 in Normandy)? One rifle for three guys was in 1941-1942, but not after 1942. It's a shame. Instead of Mosin's rifles they have american Garand M1. It can be before 1942.
It is ridiculous at all when elite infantry (guards) wears overcoat and red arm-band.
Storm-troops already exist in Red Army (RKKA) by 1944. They wear camouflaged overall (in green for summer and white for winter), PPSh-41 or PPS-43. The storm-troops could be elite infantry on Estern Front.
This Mod have many inaccuracies which can repuls many connoisseurs of CoH at all. What you think about connection with Russian graphic designers or history counselors? I can help.
