Some new environment models to take over the 2006 tree/rock/plant/entourage 3d models from Faces of War.

Are the rocks on the ground textures or 3d models? I'm serious, this looks incredibly real.
they are part of the ground texture. Our technology provides us with endless ground texture details like this, meaning that extra ground pebbles 3dmodels are not necessary because they are integrated in the ground texture, so, ++performance!
The support for heightmap occlussion was one of our reasons to port to AS2.

How do you get those rocks on the texture (ground) like that? I see a lot of people doing that now in maps and dioramas.
using advanced shader technology called parallax mapping. I will post a tutorial on parallax on the GEM2 editor club.
