Men of War: Assault Squad 2 features new single player style skirmish modes that take players from extreme tank combat to deadly sniper stealth missions. Commanders can now faceoff against opponents on various new multiplayer 1v1 – 4v4 maps. To truly bring the battles to life though there is the new 8v8 game mode designed for huge battles on spectacular maps.

This new Assault Squad game brings significant game engine and visual improvements as well, with special attention paid to ones that were highly requested by the players.

1. Ok, let's start with our first question.

For modeling, I usually create my uniform model in marvelous designer. If you don't know about marvelous designer. Check this youtube channel - link - Youtube.com - , I am sure you can learn a lot from there.

You can see it works very well for me. But the uniform is not finished yet and so I will upload a finished version in the next blog.

After that, I will export the models out from MD and import it into zbrush for more details sculpture.I am sure a lot of you have heard of Zbrush.

Then I use the topogun to retopology for the low poly mesh .

Finally, I will bake the normal map by using Xnormal. That's it, this is pretty much all my workflow for modeling. And we are short of people now who have similar skills, do join us if u can.

2. About the project we are working on. Currently, we have 3 main projects in the work : This mod now renamed to Age of Expansion 1600-1901, The Great War: A Tale of Heroes and Victoria mod for Napoleon Total war. For now, we are working mainly on 2 of these, not sure about what Vasikle is going to do with his WW1 mod. However, we are not only creating this mod for Men of War Assault Squad 2, we are also creating it for Napoleon Total War here is a test picture for our footguard unit. (Not complete model yet and textures yet) Units, Models and Textures will all be shared between all 3 of these mods for us to have a sizable and playable amount of units for each faction roster.

Therefore, Victorian era mod and units are our first priority project and its still a WIP project currently so don't expect downloads soon.

3.About our team member's modding experience. Me, Harry, am a former modeler and modder for Total War series from Medieval Total War to Shogun Total War 2. And I still have a little knowledge about Age of empires 3 modding. I still get involved in a game most of you may have never heard of called American Conquest, for those who don't know this game, do check it out it is a very good game.

As for Vasikle, he does a lot of modding similar to me including modding for total war games, men of war, etc. He is pretty much the backbone of our team and without him we possibly wouldn't be able to make this mod.

For Danny, he is our manager, he don't deal with software but instead makes maps, scripts missions and does research.

For Johny, he did textures and skins for the Mount and blade Warband Napoleonic wars DLC.

Update: Ok, guys. I am working on a female project for this mod. She will be used as a goddess in this mod, like Athena. Sorry, just kidding. Well, females do get involved in war sometimes, so I don't think we can miss that. As for our Victoria era soldier uniform, the demo version has been done (as I show in the screenshots above), however, you may notice the uniform is not historical, so we have to update the texture for new historical uniform. Since this model totally matches the uniform we need to create, so I make some change to it and it needs to be rigged again. Therefore, it may take some time to see the a new uniform for coldstream foot guard.
