"Christmas Pack v1.1" DESCRIPTION:
This pack contains a modification created by me for Age of Empires 3 with TWC and TAD, which I called "Tree, Gifts and Reindeer for TWC and TAD" and also includes three versions of Winter Wonderland custom map, the original version for AoE3, the TWC version, and the TAD version. For each of the three versions of this map I added the missing descriptions - I have upgraded the TWC and TAD versions of this map using the informations contained in the great lakes map in versions for TWC and TAD; and in addition, each version of this map is divided into two language versions, English and Polish.

"Tree, Gifts and Reindeer for TWC and TAD v1.01" MOD DESCRIPTION
"Christmas tree, gifts and the Red-Nosed Reindeer"; what more do you need to feel the Christmas spirit? You need a game that will provide you a hundred percent correct display of these elements.
Probably most of you have had contact with the map entitled "Winter Wonderland", created by the ES, and thus, you met a nasty disappointment when it turned out that as in TWC, as well as in TAD, the above-mentioned elements have been replaced by standard boxes, trees and animals. My modification meets your expectations by restoring the original information in the files "protox.xml" and "protoy.xml" and adding to "art" folder all necessary files, so TWC and TAD can now correctly read, and then display a Christmas tree, Gifts and the Red-Nosed Reindeer. In addition, I removed the script that blocked the ability to use these elements in the scenarios.

- the ability to create new scenarios and custom maps, in which we can use these elements
Requirements:
The modification requires that you have installed the game "Age of Empires 3" (version 1.14), and its two expansions, "The WarChifs" (version 1.06) and "The Asian Dynasties" (version 1.03).

Winter Wonderland Custom Map: a festive new custom map for the holidays!
This snow covered map is dotted with red nosed deer, decorated trees, and piles of gifts!
installation info:
Simply select and extract what you're interested in, and then open the readme file, attached into your chosen ".zip" file and follow the installation instructions.
Changelog:
- removed unnecessary files from the "art" folder in "Tree, Gifts and Reindeer for TWC and TAD" modyfication (minor oversight :P)
- added Polish files "CzytajMnie", for both, the "Tree, Gifts and Reindeer for TWC and TAD" modyfication, and the Christmas Pack

That Christmas image is made by me... Just throwing it out there.

As for your question, I can say only that what I did in this modification was limited only to change some informations in the "proto" files and to extract the necessary files from ".bar" files that can be found in the folder in which the game is installed. Changing a few scripts in maps, and information in proto files, regarding the paths to files and deleting scripts in these files, which block the ability to use an object in the scenarios editor, it is not a demanding job. What I did could anyone do so, as you can see, unfortunately I am not able to help you in creating an advanced modification.
