a sort of generals challange?
There was such an Westwood idea,though i never know if it realized:
GDI and Nod start with equal number of territories on Continent.Bordering territories are battlezones,players can choose one of them to battle.Each territory has its own -sometimes scripted- unique map.Periodically the wins for both sides are compared and who made more wins gets that battlezone.Global Battle continues so on and ends when one side is wiped out from continent.The top players in that long process get extra awards.Then the whole thing resets for an next round.
That is included in Firestorm (like in Kanes Wrath), the World Domination Tour, but since the Westwood servers aren't active, it didn't work anymore. I took this from game itselv, it should show the people where the campaign will/could play...
