The editor doesn't work, the game freezes whenever i use it, have to restart PC.
Make sure that when you install the mod, you completely eliminate the old files from the mods folder. That would be the first check. Then make sure you're running as a system admin and all programs do. If you continue to have trouble bring it to the forum please.

Why the f do i get random civ switching? I am just playing the game with my civ and it just changes to another civ at the beginning of next turn for no reason. WTF is going on?
Game options were moved around.
You have to revise starting game settings when starting new game.
Game settings are saved like this in vanilla BTS file (in my documents:
GameOpt i o n s = 00001000... (had to space out o p t i o n s because moddb is high asf)
So first 1 may be selecting option Y and not option X anymore.
I don't really understand what you want to say here. What do options have to do with the fact that i start playing the game with one nation and after several turns the control of that nation is taken from me and switched to another nation for no reason?
You have selected option causing this instead of other nearby option
There is game setting, where you switch to civ with fewest amount of points.
I guess you blindly started game instead of rechecking your game options.
I thought you will immediately check your game option choices when starting new game, but I guess kids play game too.

Hi, I was excited to try this.
Put it in the mod folder (first mod Ive ever used, so folder is clean)
Went to "load mod" in the advanced options in the game menu, it starts to load,
but I get this error box h t t p s : / /ibb.co/Z6k7S6G
I am the only user / admin for my PC, and I tried "run as admin" for the exe.
Its the steam version if that matters.
Any ideas? :(

Can someone please tell me how to end revolutions? Is it even possible to end them with me keeping all my cities?
I have resources, i have happiness producing buildings, my cities are healthy.
I really have no clue what to do anymore.
Crime is by far strongest factor in revolutions, make sure crime property is below 0 by having enough law enforcement units.

I know this is a dumb question and probably something everyone already knows; how do I install the latest version of C2C? I love this mod and prefer it over CIV 5, BE, and 6. The download file looks like a single page of paper and every time I fire CIV4 up and open mods, C2C doesn't show up. Are there some steps I'm supposed to be doing or what? I've googled online and found nothing that helps.
You need winrar or winzip to open .rar file.
Extract it to mods folder located in same folder as BTS EXE
Make sure its named Caveman2Cosmos and it isn't nested
The interface is whacked. I load up a game and when I select a starting unit, I don't get any of the action icons in the bottom part of the screen (e.g. can't select Go-To or Build a City for Settlers). I also don't see any unit details in the bottom right. Did I install something incorrectly?
Edit: reinstalled and now it's working. Sorry, my bad.
regarding the Civ Dynamic names. Is it on by default or do i have to switch it on? If so how do i go about that? Thank you.
Did you remove Trump Tower as a wonder?
I didn't see it on my update either. It's very disappointing :(
It was renamed to World Tower or something like that.
Trump stuff was added way before he was president.
The World Tower isn't the same wonder, it's a different building entirely. I'm not sure but looks as though Trump Tower was purposefully deleted.
Is there a way for me to manually add it from the old version into the new one? For a game that allows you to have slavery and be Hitler, I don't know why Trump Tower is such a big deal.

My game has this strange behavior, where some tiles, if I move a worker on them, next turn my borders disappear from the tile and it just becomes unowned, until I move my worker off the tile, I can't build improvements on those tiles, currently got 2 in my starting settlements BFC. Any idea what that is about? Never seen that before in Civ4, and I did a clean install of the mod.
Edit: built a trail on one of those to get my workers on it with movement to spare, so I could start a lumber camp, built it for that one turn and now those two tiles are "blinking" their borders on-off(while one has borders the other doesn't) every turn, without having to put any workers on them.

I have huge problem cause i can't play. I did everything in accordance with manual ( right path C:\GOG Games\Civilization IV Complete\Civ4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Caveman2Cosmos, no files in my document) but game doesen't work. When i click single player in main menu i back to the deskopt. Somebody help ?

hello I love your MOD. I reinstalled civ4 just to play it again. I keep getting a load error however "GFC error:failed to initialize the primary control theme". Is there something wrong Im doing
Never install mod in My Documents!
Find BTS exe, in that folder there is Mods folder.
Put Caveman2Cosmos to that folder.
Having a hard time trying to identify the route cause of a load problem (and fix) in the python script stemming from the ScreenResolution.py and an apparent hardcode reference to "e:/main/civilisation4/warlords/assets/python/system\ConfigParser.py" somewhere I can't find. Any help appreciated. Note C2C v39 is fine but all subsequent revisions since have this problem. I don't have a D-drive so no wonder it fails ;-p
