Cat-Life GS is a singleplayer modification for Half-Life 1 that will follow the story of a scientist's pet project, XFC-71... a cat named Newton.
EDOC_32 has been hard at work on tweaks for our source code and made a few temporary models to go along with his work. In this set, you can see the changes he has made to the hud, the restoration of the kitty night vision, and some of his temp models for some of the new enemies and Cat Food.
Awesome :D
Hah, it's a fun idea, but aren't headcrabs about the same size as a cat?
But probably we can say these are not full grown ones.
perhaps a slightly older version of the baby headcrabs as seen in HL1 when fighting that huge *** boss crab in Xen?
I've explained in the past, but they're juvenile headcrabs. falling in between the babies and the full grown versions.
The look isn't quite right here as they should look a little more like fast headcrabs.
Yeah, the juvenile was the word I was looking for. But anyway I think it's fine as it is. There isn't a canonical confirmation whether or not fast and poisonous headcrabs are natural, a mutation between HL and HL2 or Combine modification, but not like that matters anyway.
In terms of our story... basically, the fast headcrabs are created by putting a juvenile headcrab on a small fast animal such as a cat. It's a concept discovered principally in Black Mesa.
It's hardly a canon element as Valve hasn't really said anything on the subject, but I like to make a plausible explanation for this sort of thing for our mod's purposes.
We need to include this intelligent otter in the mod too :3
Wait, so if there is going to be more than one Headcat zombie then how many cats does Black Mesa have to begin with?!
Largely it's all localized in one lab complex/chapter. Not unlike Questionable Ethics in the original game.
Eureka! i find the problem that make that the zomcat not walk... The_Wildat, is the animation, we will add the "LX loop fps" in the .qc file, i will add this for be this walk! :D

So is it just me or does it have like a sting on it's tail, like a scorpion? If yes, then it's a very cool idea, equivalent of claws for human zombies :D
What if the baby headcrabs could take over the cats, and they would caterwaul at you?
