Ok I see, I was hoping for something like the pikes of Ricco's republican guard but I know you're sticking to the tabletop spirit. Still looks great.:)
Good but halberds are 2 hand weapons. Why the shields? They cannot use them.
That's the way GW always portrayed them in art and the miniatures. They use them more like spears.
I believe they are that way because shields are not optional, but the halberds are. So on the table top the player can decide to switch from using halberd to hand weapon and shield. They have the shields on the model to show they are carrying shields, but can't actually use the shield while using the halberd. Shield is good aesthetics, but that also means the halberds use a faster spear animation over the slower halberd animation.
Unless I change the animation.
I just made them like the mini, look at some pictures of the minis and this is how they are portrayed. Also QueenOfGore has setup spear animation so it can have the phalanx/spearwall so they look pretty legit like this.
So I guess these are the new tomb guard? Very nice indeed.
