With this I will make the game Call of Juarez into a open world game.I have planned out the layout already and I expect all of you to enjoy the final release of the map mod.I have planned to make two bigger towns and scatter around the whole map different places to explore and visit. The map will be 2 km x 2 km. I will keep as much explorable area for players. This mod is to give people who really hoped to get RD:R on PC but never got it. Thats also one of the reasons why I even started with this.
Progress of different spots on map:

Main town: 0%
Starting town : 85%
Church: 100%
Farm: 100%
Enemy fort: 0%
Forest: 100%
Plains: 50%
Mines: 100%

Map areas:

North: 70%
Northeast: 0%
East: 40%
Southeast: 0%
Center: 80%
South: 0%
Southwest: 0%
West: 0%
Northwest: 0%

Total progress: 21.1%

Wonderful! Red Dead *Cough... ****** Rockstars* Redemption doesn't come to the PC... I was very disappointed. Call of Juarez is the best western shooter out there! And an Open World! Well... tracking it Mantracker style!

Definitely gonna hope this comes out. It would be a BIG improvement to the open-world parts of levels, and give the game a better feel.

I have a serious question for you all.

Should I even go trough with this?

I mean I can make a nice map, nicely detailed and all.

But I can't make a storyline for this. Exploring will take you maybe in total 3 to 4 hours at its longest and then it might get boring for you all.

I dont want to get your hopes so high when I cant deliver what you all would expect. I maybe can add some missions or so, but that would be pretty much all.

Are there any suggestions any of you guys following or just now discovering this mod. What could I do to make this more than just a map to explore.

If I just make a map it will be just a map and not really a true mod.

If there will be no feedback on this I will stop this "mod" as it will be nothing but some boring map to explore for a few hours.

It isnt very easy to do this all. I would want this to carry on somewhere.

I am sorry I go like this now, just I feel like all my troubles will not bring any profit for me. No feeling of completion or no happy feeling to share something very fun.

Well for now why don't you just do the map? Then some of your followers can test it and put input of what needs/should be done to improve and make it more enjoyable!

Well i , just bought the game because i like westerns but mostly for this mod, don't worry , i would of bought it anyway.

I don't have it yet , but i already downloaded the user content creation pack.

I can't say i'm a skilled modder but i am on the learn path of it, so i will definatly open up and dig into the game files ,etc......

As for now , please don't give up ,
too many nice mods die , for too many ,(full of potential), games.

If you really don't see a way out and you want to quit. bring out forth what you have reached , and release some 'alpha' version.

For now I will put this mod on a halt as I need to know better what to do as my next steps as I want to make this mod very nice and detailed.

I don't want to rush this to you and give you a broken *** scenery with few things there, so I hope you all will understand why I educate myself on this.

If anyone has time to google or anything, do also some research to help me get faster working. Please post some links or so onto the comments. I am doing my best to give you the best.

But now I must go and find myself some work to do!

Thanks for the uplifting words. This gives me more power to work on this.

Altough I am on bit of a halt with the forest right now. It feels out of place. I need to think over that. I don't know yet if I will keep it. Maybe will do the map without a forest totally.
