Speaking of "23782 menu video replacements", isn't the concept of "Alternative Radios 1.03" which is your mod, the same "so wrong" concept?
People who make mods (like you) are mostly doing so without getting paid and for the community.
Now unlike video replacement and alternative radios, this mods is bringing a new scene to the already atmospheric and rich game.
Lets embrace and acknowledge the broad and imaginative community of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

i still stand by my argument that creativity isn't exactly a term i'd use to describe this modding community
i'm not bashing this mod either. it's simple and some people may find an use for it but come on, thing's far from amazing and unbelieveable
take a look at gta modding scene. these guys simply did not came up with making 1st person camera mod for IV until V came out, lol. literally nobody even experimented on that **** before?

To be fair, Call of Chernobyl isn't a game. It's a mod, and it's a mod for a very old franchise. I don't think STALKER ever was originally intended for western appeal, and most of the more original stuff out there is made in the east. Like Call of Misery, and such other such mod packs, commonly called "сборка".

its nice but there is a small problem if you enter in a room with one exit and you forgot to say to your squads or squad to stay put you will wake up with a lot of stalkers blocking the exit
well XD yeah thats why i recommended to minimise the squad members just to avoid such conflicts ! but i think this addon may help you manange your squad easly ( Moddb.com) ///// i dont remember exactly but i remember that there are a command to keep a distance
It would be cool if you could release a version where you had to pay them in order for neutral guys to follow you.

I will have to download this for my next Loner character. I've tended to avoid playing that faction since I can't recruit other loners (as far as I know)
You will be able to recruit any neutral and friendly NPCs + large squad numbers

when i ask a stalker to join they just walk off in a random direction this happens to quest related companions as well
Did you start a good game ? If not thats why you are encountering such an issues
Can you make them charge money in both versions, since they aren't friendly? It'd give incentive to work towards becoming friendly with the faction in question--free companions--but still allows a money-maker to just pick up help at random.
This is really something that should have in the base game, good work! I also agree with daftestofpunk's suggestion, that would be a nice addition!

Fair enough, it's not a make or break feature, it would just add to the immersion IMO, I can imagine the XRAY engine not being the easiest thing to work with. Lol.
Its not hard but this kinda of stuffs needs more experience, but it mqy come true by time
ColonelRH, 1.5R6 added in a feature which limits your companion slots per companion killed-in-action. Thus; if you lead a squad of 40 and lose a couple; you won't be able to recruit anymore companions until you medi-kit up to 3 stalkers from the affected faction/s - Thus this requires a 1.5R6+ re-release.
The system is changed that's why this won't work , I didn't check the new one ! I will soon xD
After getting the no recruitment bug, this mod is heaven sent indeed.
This may already be in-game, but if not, here's an idea for a more balanced version of this:
Some factions can be hired to protect you (for a high cost), and once you do a few missions for them, they will become friendly and then you can hire them for cheaper (or even for no money at all).
The Addons is nice .. but does monolith will do too ?
