BrewLAN is a mod for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance that has been in on and off development by a team of one for almost a decade. It adds a wide variety of new units for all factions, as well as offering several new game modes and features. The core design goals for the mod are simple; to add new, interesting, and visually aesthetic units which complement those already in existence and to maximise technical compatibility with other mods.

Im not sure how i feel about the base. I feel like the base should be a series of tapered triangles in ascending pyramid steps. The Radar should be tilted upwards like a typical radar dish. When active, the whole system should extend upwards in a stretch.

The design for the Omni Sensor Array and the windshields from Aeon looks awesome and much better. I love the Cybrans so I am sad about the design of the new units. The concrete-floor of the wind shilds destroys the green landscape, it sould be a closed base. And the jagged design of the Omni does not fit to the general Cybran theme. It sould be like a typical radar and the ground design sould be changed.

I love your mod and I would like to have great new Cybran units.

The base looks a bit like the base of a Psi-Beacon from Red Alert 2. Or maybe I'm forgetting something.

I also have no idea what "Qain" is supposed to mean.

That's what I decided to call it. It's pronounced Kain.

Yeah, the concerns of guys above are validated.
Dr. Brackman wants the Cybran stuff to look cool.
Feel sorry for your overheat.

The base I lazied out on because of time constraints, but the top I will defend. I like the top and I spend a lot of effort on it, and It really doesn't need to look up. It's not a radio telescope, it's a sensor with a 6km range, and it has 3 receiver sections on it, so it would functionally have a 45° pitch range.

The others were based on radio telescopes, but this one was based on surface radar.

Description

Here we have basically the exact same scene as yesterday, but for Cybran.

There in all likelihood won't be a time-lapse for this, as I had a heat-related power outage while recording, so the majority of the footage for the first half of development, where most of the modelling was done, is in a state of MP4-incomplete-file-related corrupt limbo. I may have also been recording in 60 FPS for that section, which may have contributed to the over-heat. I usually record time-lapses in 10 FPS, because that's the lowest that most editors can handle. Ideally I'd like to record in 1 FPS, because I usually speed them up by at least x50 or x60, and then you have a nice cushy 50+ FPS. But I digress.

The remainder is the description from yesterdays image, because it still applies here:

This is from Research & Daiquiris; it is part of that mods' rework of tech 3 intelligence buildings. It makes the regular tech 3 radar cheaper, both to build and to run, by quite a margin and removes its Omni sensor. This starts research locked, has slightly higher build costs and running costs than the original, and has a 50% higher Omni radius, which equates to over double the area. It's also larger has has far more health.
