Crysis v1.9 Patch and MaLDoHDv4 are required! And it's not included in the installer.Links and install instructions in description
1st: Update your game to the version 1.9, and install the Dx11 pack:
Crysis 2 Patch 1.9
DirectX 11 Pack
2nd: Download MaLDoHDv4 and the fixes from his blog: maldotex.blogspot.com.br
■ Install it but don't run the utility or the game yet.
3rd: Run MaLDoHD Config Utility using the shortcut created in your desktop, configure the game the way you want. When you're done, run the game using the utility or MaLDo HD shortcut just to see if the game opens correctly. If it does, close it and proceed to the next step.
Note: If your screen resolution gets all weird when you launch the game, run the Utility again and change the Antialiasing option to one of the first three options.
4th: Download and install BlackFire's Mod 2
Mirror: setup_blackfire_mod_2.exe
Important: Make sure you install the mod in your Crysis 2 root folder. Steam/Origin users be aware that you will mandatorily have to change the setup's default install location.
The following mods are included in this version: (All credit to the makers)
■ Quality Mod 1.92c by Shone
■ Compound Bow Mod
■ Drivable Civilian Vehicles v1.2:
■ Alcatraz Mod Soundtrack
Note: Again, the Compound Bow Mod it's kinda buggy, so If you have problem with this weapon, just ignore it in game.
5th: Play the game using BlackFire's Mod 2 shortcut created in your desktop or even MaLDo's shortcut. Or you can load the mod in the main menu.
Don't forget: Never use your old save games, the ones generated before you installed this mod. Start a new game or load a level from the "Replay Mission" menu.
Note: If you clicked on the shortcut of my mod a message shows telling that Crysis2.exe was not founded, that means you installed my mod in the wrong folder.
If you experience any kind of bug, try using the BlackFire's Mod 2 Stand-alone Edition, it's a lot more stable but has less features.
The mod is great thanks to the author mod makes the game more realistic
I like this mod, but I was wondering if there was a way to disable the depth of field effect. It doesn't always work well. Which files do I need to modify in order to be able to turn it off?
Thanks in advance

Yea of course. If you read the instructions above (Click Read More in the Description), one of the steps is to run the MaLDoHD Config Utility. If you click Advanced Config, it opens up advanced settings, including DoF.
Normally I'd say go to Maldo's blog site, but the downloads there do not work. But there are more instructions there. Here is the link to Maldo's Blog:
Maldotex.blogspot.de
And here is a link to Maldo's mod here on moddb so you can download it.
Moddb.com
Hope this helps!

thank you so much, but why no crysis:warhead's black fire mod?
Although the people here in the comments probably don't really care anymore, for any future players you can disable the *weapon* DOF by opening the Quality Mod's settings with the F8 key. If you want to remove the overall DOF unfortunately you can't, at least not in-game. For some reason blackfire mod overrides MALDOHD's settings (you can turn off DOF in Maldo's mod), and so DOF is forced to be turned on. However you can change it's strength by again using the Quality mod's settings (F8).
