More alternative Timelines? Thread - Black ICE Mod for Hearts of Iron III: Their Finest Hour

Now first of all, i haven´t played the version 7 yet, and probably never will, because i really like my industrial powerplay in this game....

What kind of upsets me is that even though this game i think actually advertises itself as an alternative history game or something along that, there doesn´t really seem to be that much going different usually.

Although that is mostly from an Axis standpoint i guess.

But imo, you should get some special events when you choose NO for historical personality impact.
In my current game as germany i.e. i had a pretty effective submarine blockade of britain by late 1940. Now what if i wanted to set my sights for America rather than the British Isles? Taking Canada by early 1941 and then have some Units ready to break the border at the 7th December.
Or what if you manage to take the Suez Canal and parts of India, there would be a fast naval lane open between the european and asian Axis.
Also triggering a Japanese or maybe even better Joint Invasion of the USA.

In addition the first ICBMs in our timeline came up by 1951, and this games timeline runs till 1968 if i am not wrong.
Now what in a universe where the Axis still controll Continental Europe by Dec 1945, D-Day having failed? Can i have the A9/10 if i research enough rocket tech by then?

Why not a more active timeline where Germany doesn´t invade the USSR to a much later date? Maybe even a scenario where you can get to a three-sided Cold War? What about a 1948 Space Race with manned observation satellites? Those were indeed proposed, before the advent of Integrated Curcuits.

I know this is all kinda more far fetched stuff, but i am putting this here, since who knows maybe the debate will do something good.

Love your mod even if nothing of this ever makes it in.

EDIT: Also it might be cool to have similar decisions like the Ural Bomber for the Amerika Bomber project and the heavy armour like the Maus and E-series.
