A significant part of my project is working within the given limitations of the game. A 5th race would require a triggered race selector, or using a system that runs off of handicaps. The other significant issue is map size. Currently I am at the 8 MB limit and I will not be going over it as that would make this map unable to be played on Battle.net.

I have contemplated abandoning support for Bnet but I have discovered that most of the people who play my map use Bnet.

The limit has also forced me to constantly refine my ideas as well. Often times I find myself including a custom resource because I find it attractive only to later remove it to save space and include a more relevant idea.

At this point I want to focus on balance and make sure that there are no game breaking issues that detract from your enjoyment. To more specifically address your question I actually have a 5th race started based on the remnants of the Night Elf race post TFT.

well what ever you do i'm sure it will be amazing since your track record is no short of absolutely amazing maps and hopefully maybe one day that 5th night elven like race will come into fruition. On a completely separate note for balance reasons maybe put a timer on the naga sea witches aoe charm for instance the units are under her control for 30secs - L1 and then 60 and 90 seonds for levels 2 and 3.

same with paradise shoals or shores and btw I love the abilities you come up with and the only ability I dislike is the murky gaze I find its just bland really and it can easily disrupt balance
