Beng's Laser Demo Nuke mod for Zero Hour, modifies these 3 factions to have many improved units and powers. Nearly every object belonging to these 3 generals has been changed and they have new buildings, units, and powers. It is intended mainly to add replay value to the single player campaigns, general’s challenge campaigns, and skirmish games. Vanilla America, GLA and China objects can change into the new Laser, Demo and Nuke types so you can use them in the single player campaigns
Manual Install Instructions for Mac Users
Here's how to manually install:
Put the biggest file, 0BengsLDNmod3.off, in your ZH install directory. You do not need the .bat batch files.
Rename it from 0BengsLDNmod3.off to 0BengsLDNmod3.big
To enable the improved skirmish AI for this mod, rename
[ZH directory]\Data\Scripts\SkirmimishScripts.scb to SkirmimishScripts.off or something else so the computer will use the copy inside the big file instead of the existing one.
Then when you run the game it will use the mod.
To Uninstall: do the reverse of the above.

This is a new version of Beng's Laser Demo Nuke mod for Zero Hour, that modifies the Laser, Demo and Nuke generals to have many improved units and powers...
I thought there was a version of this without the word DEMO in it? No?
ha ha ha I freakin' LOVE this mod! Sure, it makes the Laser General force pretty damn OP, but that's irrelevant in Gen Challenge where you can get some payback for how those certain pesky generals kept on annoying at certain tmes and so forth of course. :P All in all, i'm giving this a solid 9/10! :D
Just wanted to reiterate that I STILL love this badass mod to this day, especially with the VERY nifty and handy addition added to Leang's Challenge map where garrisoning a single unit inside the central temple building in the village above the base you start in gives you friendly civilian-like help slightly similar to "The Hills Have Eyes" map from Red Alert in that it spawns multiple Demo Gen-upgraded Angry Mobs allied with you (you can't control them, which is VERY good imho as they help keep the enemy at bay quite well), freakin' LOVE that neat little addition as stated in the updated cutscene of Leang's challenge map, seriously...!
Overall, still love this mod lots and thanks SOOOO much for making it, really. ^-^
I am also running into the problem where the batch file simply lauches vanilla zero hour, running it as administrator does nothing, infact when going to properties and then "run as administrator" this option is unavailable, renaming the OFF file myself results in the mayor error window, totaly stumped as to what to do atm, any suggestions, i'm running windows 7 if thats important
Any help appreciated
I hate when my mayors have an error.
It can ruin the entire town.
Change the .off file to a big file and run the game via your zero hour launcher (NOT the batch file)
soon as i get my game installed AGAIN. -.-
where i can find your screenshot ?
Awesome mod, my fav for ZH, just started playing again lol. Only one issue though. The spy sat camera clicking is extremely annoying. especially if you got 2, 3 USA allies and all their spy sats clicking at the same time. hurts the ears lol. any way to remove that sound? LOL
I'm having trouble with this mod. Every time I load up the game by clicking the batch file program it will load the game but not add any units or the new campaign missions. If it helps the little window that pops up and says do not close this window also says "error access denied no files moved" and I'm also playing zero hour from the first decade CD. I even tried renaming the .off file .big and that only made a serious error message display when I tried to load the game. Can anyone help me out?
rightclick, and run as a administrator!
Normally I'd agree with you but when I run it as admin it simply does nothing
I fixed the problem. The batch file is set to look in the "my documents" folder and since I have windows Vista Business there isn't a "my documents" folder just a "documents" folder.
where can i find the batch file?
