Description

A short video showing the power of the new ships in combat as they take apart a Basestar and force the other to flee pretty easily. You can see that the healing ability of the Basestars has been reduced. This video also shows some of the other features that I'm working on such as manual launching of squadrons. This will be applied to both sides and the AI will launch their squadrons using the ability without issue. This allows you to conserve your units and rely on the flak screen should you wish. The two ships are the standard B&C Jupiter class and the new hero Aurora. As you can see Aurora also features a missile shield which when combined with her armour makes her very resilient to fire. Unlike the Mercury class this shield is not unlimited.
At the end of the video you can see Aurora spawning in other Battlestars as part of its launch fighters ability, this is not a special ability the ship will keep in game but is rather me experimenting with ways of creating grouped units in space so that you can build and field Battlestar Groups. I am still working on this and it may not end up becoming a feature.
