Hi there!

So mod work is progressing... slowly. There are a number of reasons for this, mainly work and my free time. I recently had to go to Spain for 2 weeks with work and couldn't do mod work while there. This along with a holiday meant little mod work was done over the last 5 weeks.

Add the this the fact that I have a full time girlfriend and other hobbies as you can see by the pic below

And the result is that mod work takes a while, particularly bug fixing. So I ask for your patience. The mod is a much bigger undertaking than I originally envisioned, especially since I decided to change about half of the models on the land side of things.

On to other news

I've started working out what the ships (old and new) shall be renamed to, with a little help from the seemingly encyclopaedic knowledge of ravagewolf who posted loads of info on one of the pics

With this in mind I have split the ships into two groups and given them two naming conventions.

Group one, Battlestars. These are ships capable of fielding 3+ Squadrons of Vipers (peacetime, more when on a war footing). Their naming convention will be Pagan Gods (Greek, Roman, Norse etc)

Group two, Supporting ships. These ships are not necessarily small, some will approach Battlestar size but all will be vessels with smaller or no airwings. Their purpose is to support the Battlestars which always form the core of a combat force (Battlestar Group). Their naming convention will be minor Pagan deities.

Since the designation of a ship is based on the size of its fighter wing rather than size or design layout this means that ships which look like Battlestars can still be classed as support vessels and vice versa.

Please note that names are subject to change pending any feedback I receive from you guys.

I don't want to set a firm date but I reckon I can get a download up soon. It all depends on how much mod work I can get done this weekend while my girlfriend is working.
I have a working version but its based off of a bloated personal mod so I need to cut out all the content I don't have permission for and swap out some units for new stuff like I've posted up in the images section. This takes more time than you would think..

Its complicated... I have permission for almost all of the current content.
I don't have permission for the content from the halo ground commander mod as the creator intends to resume work on this at some point and wants to keep all content under his control until it is released. I don't have permission from the creator of the first offensive mod as they replied saying that they refused. The fact that their mod is dead is beside the point. If they refuse and I go ahead and use their content anyway then they can report me to Moddb.
This means that I need to remove their units and replace them with other files, which is why Im using the battlefront mod files.
This takes time but I've made good progress already, halo marines and pelican are axed, rebels are in and by monday I should have made good progress.
