Battlefield 40k's Mission Is to transform the Tabletop game of Games Workshops Warhammer 40,000 into an FPS for the Battlefield 2142 Engine. The sentinel is a light scout vehicle used by the
imperial guard. The elysian pattern is unique as
it features Grav Chutes to allow it to be dropped
into combat by a Valkrie.
The multi melta is a twin barreled version of the
melta gun. The strength of the weapon is the same
as the short ranged melta gun but has double the
range. It is a very deadly anti tank weapon.

1 When I was looking for a Jeep class for IG the sentinel was the first that came to mind for BF40K : BF2 alan modelled the sentinel partially inially to test whether walkers were technically feasible in BF2, the test failed so the Sentinel has been replaced with the Salamander scout for IG in the BF2 version The T'au have the Piranha in place of the Battlesuit. The Tau would have had the battlesuits in the BF2 version but because of the results of the experiment they were not developed. Clearly with 2142's Walker support this has allowed us to reinstate walkers.
As to further development of the Sentinel, yes we will have a multilaser, the other weapons for it will come in later releases.

As for flamers, they will not go in straight away, we are thinking about putting them in if we do the hellhound and the Blood Angels Baal Predator.
senIG should have their fast attack vehicals be sentinals instead of the jeep, both have similar drawbacks (weak armor, pilot is exposed) and advantages (sentinals not quite as fast as something like a devilfish and top turret can't turn full 360, however the sentinal doesnt require a second person gunner, and sentinals have widest range of weps for fast attack, the anti-armor slow reload Melta, anti-infantry heavybolter, anti-ligh vech auto cannon = faster fire rate weaker dmg, and i don't think it is possible to add a realistic flamer {short ranged fcontinuous flame that goes through cover} but if possible then all the better! can't wait for the IG vs Tau beta release! (if Bf40kadmin reads this, can u answer if any of this stuff is actually gonna be put in-game? i can understand if not any time soon due to want for release of beta, maybe as a future update? )
