Battlefield 1918 is a total conversion modification for Battlefield 1942. The mod takes Battlefield 1942 into a whole new scenario, the first world war. Next to historically correct equipments and vehicles, we try to recreate the atmosphere of these WW1 battlefields as close as we can, keeping in mind the game we're working with. To achieve this, we've drastically changed the gameplay from the original game like so that you must now rely on teamwork, artillery, trenches and slow vehicles....

The whistle in the Polish kit is the German one so I think it actually only works on Red army soldiers since those are on team 1 like the Germans are in bf1918. When using it I get no ammo or health back and there is no icon.

Adding to the bugs for 3.4:

Another gameplay bug: cavalry weapons still have the old rate of fire even with new sounds.

Texture bugs:

Fort Bismarck: The sign is in simplified characters which didn't exist until the communist regime in China. So correctly it would be written: 靑島 (using 青 or 靑 can be debated, but the second was more common in print while the first one in handwriting). Also for more accuracy it could be written from right to left (and may be slightly bigger), as was prevalent for horizontal writing at the time:

Tanzanian Plains: the Indian forces are still using the default British flag on the field.

Kilimanjaro: An inconsistent HUD icon for the team's flag (compared with Tanzanian Plains, first)

Battle of Lemberg: Ukrainian kits still use Austrian names.

Ukrainian kits on other maps: according to Латинізація української мови — Вікіпедія (wikipedia.org), the Latinization for letter «и» should be changed to "y", such as "rozvidnyk" (розвідник), "kulemetnyk" (кулеметник), "kerivnyk" (керівник).

Irkutsk: Red Army scout icon shows wrong weapon (kit uses Berdan but icon shows a sniper rifle).

The reason why the Ukrainian kits on the Battle of Lemberg have Austrian names is because they actually use the Austria-Hungary kits instead of the Ukrainian kits.

From the Init.con of the Battle_of_Lemberg.rfa. Kuk is the Austria-Hungary kit name.

The reason why the Red Army scout icon on Irkutsk is wrong is because the mod doesn't have a proper scout icon with the Berdan instead of the Mannlicher.

The scoped Carcano and Mannlicher rifles should have the same reload animation & sound as the regular rifles since they use en-bloc clips and can't be reloaded with single rounds like most rifles can.

The Force Publique use the same lines as the Senegalese which is fine except for Charge.vaw where they say France. That line can be replaced with Charge2 or Charge3 or gogogo.
