Battlefield 1918 is a total conversion modification for Battlefield 1942. The mod takes Battlefield 1942 into a whole new scenario, the first world war. Next to historically correct equipments and vehicles, we try to recreate the atmosphere of these WW1 battlefields as close as we can, keeping in mind the game we're working with. To achieve this, we've drastically changed the gameplay from the original game like so that you must now rely on teamwork, artillery, trenches and slow vehicles....
Description
NOTE: Make sure to delete any existing version of Battlefield 1918 you may have before installing V3.2. This is the full release of Battlefield 1918 V3.2. It is in a .rar format so for installation you will want to extract the bf1918 folder within into your mods folder in the Battlefield 1942 directory.

Awesome! I will have to give this a "go" again... its been years but I loved it back then as well!
Great mod but I noticed that Galicia Fields always crashes after a couple of minutes. 5-10 minutes in, the screen turns black and then I see my desktop. I tried like 3 times, with/without Win 98 compatibility mode, run as administrator etc. - nothing helped. I wonder what the problem is
How I install this? On 3.1 I install with the exe's but this has no installer. Do I just replace the files on the mod folder from 3.1?
I'm new to this mod, I apologise in advance for my ignorance

1.Download file
2.Extract file with 7zip or something like that
3.Than open folder bf1918, in that folder is another folder bf1918. You just move it to folder Mods in folder Battlefield on your harddisk. Enjoy. ;) (Greets from Slovakia)
Yeah that makes sense, but I had to install 3.1 first :p
But if I have to replace it, why does it say on the description of this file (above): "Make sure to delete any existing version of Battlefield 1918 you may have before installing V3.2."
That doesn't make much sense to me. If I delete the 3.1 I don't have an exe to open the mod with.
Delete the old folder bf1918 along the path .../Battlefield 1942/Mods/, and put the folder bf1918 from the downloaded archive to this location. After that, you can install patch 3.2b. It fixed some shortcomings and it will be possible to play multiplayer with it. I hope I helped you.
Clean install of V3.2 and patch 3.2b but no .exe to be found, how does this run?
Create a shortcut to the original bf1942.exe
Go to the "properties" shortcut
Add in the column "object": + game bf1918
You should get something like this:
D:\Games\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +game bf1918

Ban Central Powers bots on VITRY, they used ladders in trenches to get under map.
Only 3 Central Powers bots spawned on YPRES 1914, but they dont take any flag, so after this nothing happened.
Why I take damage from map at TANNENBERG, when capture points at corners?
Some maps have base camp protection. Typically, these areas are marked with a blue or red stripe on the map. On this map, this function was introduced recently, but they forgot to add a boundary strip. In a future version, this oversight will be corrected.
You can capture one of this flags as medic :)
On LA GRANDE BATAILLE bots do not spawn on main base, so if I capture all flags, they do not spawn at all. On BATTLE OF BASRA Central Powers bots take ground vehicles on main base, but dont move.
On HELLES LANDING - GALLIPOLI I dont get how Entente can counter vehicles, and why they cant use them. On FALKLAND ISLANDS Entente boats dont have guns, and ships dont have ammo crates. Idk how to finish FALKLAND ISLANDS in campaign, looks like I need to kill 300+ bots.
I again get ban (I dont use hacks, not was toxic, and dont kill teammates) on original game servers without any reason, and deleated game, so, now someone else need look for problems :)
This is a server problem, at least on the server BF 1918 fhsw-europ.ucoz.de 176.9.19.239:14571, with me, no one has been banned yet. True, the games do not take place there all the time, because the mod 1918 is not so popular in multiplayer.
In any case, you also have a singleplayer, the more you are good at finding various flaws that require correction directly in the singleplayer ;)
FALKLAND ISLANDS need too many time in SP, so I stopped on this map :) I have not license CD, but I played on "NO KEY" server. Servers with mods have players at weekends, but at special time, and some of them too far.
I have problem loading the mod it stay on black for like 10 mins and suddenly crashes,can anyone give me tips.
