To post an asset of your choice and your production, you need to follow some rules listed below in order to be in conformity with moddb and our policies
In order to post the content you want to share with us you have to make the post with the following form

Use one of these prefixes and do the following

  • [Sound] if it's a sound
    Sounds are best delivered in .wav format in mono
  • [Texture] if it's a texture for an existing mesh or for something like scopes, some bits like screen elements, icons for ammo, etc ...
    Textures are best in BMP, PCX, TGA, UPT and DDS
  • [3D model] if it's a mesh the meshes are better if complete with texture and other elements
    The models are best if given in obj format (blend, and 3ds are also taken) or if you have done all the work by yourself to be implemented into Unreal in PSK / PSA format
    The meshes in general shouldn't exceed 20k triangles / 10k quads, vertices are irrelevant. also we suggest to take care about optimization which will make the weapon online play and performance friendly, also think about the normals not being in conflict with misplaced faces.
    Also if you happen to make UV maps for them which is great, think about making them easy to use and not messy preferably.
  • [Animation] If it's an animation
    The animations are about the same formats as for the 3d models, but we strongly prefer the blends as we use blender for the animations.
  • [code] if it's a piece of code for something related to the mod .txt or .uc formats unless you write it on the boards

Write the name of your mesh element using your project name and if possible what's it's about
For example
[3D Model] "Devastator" Shoulder mounted minigun --- [Sound] Laser blast SFX --- [Texture] Custom crosshair
Such things.

  1. No assets should come from copyrighted games unless the entities involved with these games allow to use them in mods and other non lucrative projects.
  2. Any content have to mention the people and team behind them, this include you if you have produced the said content and / or anyone behind it.
  3. Any content posted here has to be free to use for all the mods in this group

Of course content makers will have exclusivity regarding to suggestions regarding to their meshes, hoping that original ideas will come with them.
