Breda 30 light machine gun is now finished- empty reload animation/sound is done along with few other minor tweaks (melee time, anim formatting etc.) Video taken from ingame testing.

...One of the worst LMG ever...with some of the coolest animations around.
This thing makes the 8mmR Chauchat M1915 look decent. The .30-06 M1918 Chauchat on the other hand is worse than the Breda 30.
actually there's more about italian machine guns than just saying they're bad.
breda 30 uses exactly same operation (recoiling barrel assembly) and very similar locking mechanism as mg15/mg17 (and to some extent also as mg34). i dont think there's anyone who would say mg15/mg17/mg34 were bad.
the thing that is really bad on breda 30 is the oiler because that means that the engineers didn't fully tweak the operation mechanism resulting in high extraction forces and speed. thus they added the oiler instead of fixing the source of the problem. whether to blame the engineers or their managers (or politics) is a question for historians.
btw the clip-fed magazine that now seems stupid wasn't so stupid then if you look at it from logistical and economical point of view. also you must realize that there were not many light machine guns back then so people didn't know what's the best feeding mechnism for them - and btw 1st general purpose machine gun (mg34) wasn't even existent at that time.

You're correct. It was good in the hills and mountains of Europe but in Africa with the dust and sand, it became a nuisance.
Any chance of adding Italian soldiers? (Or the mod went to the limit of custom skins, if I recall correctly?)
i always though that one of the problems of adding the italian soldiers would be the voice lines, what would they say refering to the british? if they dont exist?

actually Slikk figured out a way to do it but it's a lot of hard work with several hundreds of soundfiles and several hundreds of codelines.
