Our vacation is over and we’ve came back to work on campaign, but even during vacation we didn't sit around doing nothing. During past five weeks we’re participating in L4D2 Workshop beta test and we’re helping developers to catch a lot of nasty bugs. But now L4D2 Workshop is finally here! And along with it came out small update for our campaign, which is now available in Workshop!

If you still prefer old way for installing addons, you still can download version 1.06 from L4Dmaps.com or ModDB.com. Version 1.06 is compatible with Workshop version of campaign. And for the dessert - Back To School campaign review from one of the funniest Youtube bloggers in our subscription - Kilplix. Back in L4D1 days Kilplix already made review of old alpha version of our campaign and promised that he will review the full version for sure. Two years have passed, but he has kept his promise!

P.S.: The work on the campaign is still going on and a lot of interesting things are still ahead! Now with Workshop we can upload updates much more often!

Still waiting for a proper release. Only having half the campaign with outdated maps isn't really fun to play. (no, I don't consider the L4D2-version a proper release as I don't consider L4D2 a proper game).

The music that plays during the closing credit's is really lovely. I'd know to know the name of the song and where I can get it.

Put this file ( Dl.dropbox.com ) into ...Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\save\ and download v1.05 of campaign (if you haven't). After that you will see only hints related to events in custom campaigns.

To further clarify: I just think a campaign needs to be understandable on its own merits without having to rely on tutorial text to explain an obtuse objective. None of Valve's campaigns require the instructor to be on in order to finish them.

All your confusion was due to the fact that you could not cut the cable with an axe, before that all your actions were correct. But you could not cut through it because it was necessary not to swing the axe, but press "E" button, this is where you would find game instructor tips useful. And no, we can't do it by swing of axe, because technical reasons, we tried.

I agree with BlazeHedgehog. L4D2 is a simple game and shouldn't require an instructor but have obvious actions to do in order to progress.

But does it have to play out like that? That's what I'm getting at, here - couldn't you have found a more intuitive solution? You send the player mixed signals when the wall can't be destroyed until after the generator is dealt with (and ONLY with the axe).

If it was me, I'd ditch the rebooting PC and have it just be the generator switch and then after the panic event finished, a special infected breaks down the screen from behind (almost like the Death Toll Church). That'd make a lot more sense than "PC separated from the projector room somehow screws up the electricity, the projector won't turn off, and then the generator breaks, and then you have to press the use key with the axe on the cable so you drop the axe and also only the axe can break the wall". There's a lot of weird steps there.

I don't agree with this.
This is a addon, "valve's rules" don't apply to that!
- Just turn on the instructor, incase you can't solve this? No big deal.
