Hello everyone! It's almost 3 years since last update and more than 4 years of development! Base Defense has become something big for me and a good part of my life. A lot of things were done for 3 years and I want to write down here the most valuable ones.
- Whole new wave system which is working better with multiplayer.
- New inventory allowing to use, equip, drop items.
- Jukebox for changing musical tracks for all players on the server.
- Better NPC navigation on the main map, fixed bug with pathfinding.
- Colorful gems! This is new system for spells - skills which can have any class.
- Classes and their characteristics were improved much.
- Most of skills were changed and became more powerful.
- Absolutely new HUD and some parts of it can be configured as you wish.
- Improved mini particles system: new blood, level up, heal, smoke, fire and other effects.
- Fixed some crashing bugs and memory leaks.
- A lot of little things which make the whole gameplay much better and more dynamic.
- Finally the new boss for more challenging moments and getting rare items.
- New NPC to tell you some parts of Base Defense game story and for trade.
- No more "skill" option, there's only one difficulty level and it's rising during the game. You will need some training to learn how to survive.
- Helmets, armor and trinkets improvement. If you found a good armor, but you need the best one - you can make it by your own! You can use armor/helmet/trinket upgrade packs and ancient scrolls to make your equipment the most powerful!
- Classes have different models.
Looks like a big list... I can't wait to finish this version and release it!
But I'm glad to tell you I did a lot progress today with the last biggest feature of the mod - Powers, making skills more diverse and powerful for sure. As soon as it finished, I will make some tests and steps to release.
Thanks for your support and have a good time!
Oh yes.
I need this! I.ytimg.com
I seriously can't wait. I play Minecraft in my spare time just because I love building things, but once you finish up your next release; it's Hammer time! I know that I have a lot of work to do in order for my map to remain playable in the new version. But I'm excited about the progress and as soon as I have a test version available, I'll send it along. :)
