although he wasn't actually commanding the forces on the ground - the player will be taking on the role of Andrew McNaughton. you should use your "Skilled Labor" special op dozens of times during the game to help build bunkers to thwart German counter-attacks. the "Counter Battery Fire" is also great for wiping out clusters of artillery and anti-tank bunkers elsewhere on the map. Artillery Barrage can be used to send groups of German armored cars and infantry staggering backwards with heavy damage.... and although I have hardly ever used it... the "Maelstrom" gives your artillery units a huge boost in rate of fire and range. I didn't use it until 3/4ths of the way through the game when I finally got a chance to attack the local Corps HQ. all the basics are in place - now I just need to write in the appropriate triggers for objectives and winning the map.

I think I finally finished this one a week or so back... I wanted a new and special map to focus on our good friends in Canada. I had to rewrite this map a half-dozen times before I could survive. the player will start off as the Canadian landing force trapped between the formidable sea-walls and the oceans. if you don't unpack those division tents ASAP they'll get blown up by marauding German Focke Wulfs! players will quickly need to use their naval power to wipe out shore defenses and start unpacking. in the right-hand side of the picture my engineers are frantically building AA bunkers to help protect my hard-pressed landing force. we don't have an amphibious version of the Churchill in this mod - so I just atarted off with them already on the beach.

oh, and all of those German AA bunkers can engage ground targets as well as aircraft! so use your tank regiment to attack them first or ALL of those infantry regiments you start off with will get wiped out by flak bunkers and fighters strafing them within the first minute of the game.
