AOTR "The Daily Unit" image - Awakening of the Rebellion 2.8 mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption

Inspired by the old RTS Star Wars: Rebellion, AotR brings many features from this game and other titles such as a more in-depth mission system, tech system, and many new units! Immerse yourself in the Galactic Civil War era as the fledgling Rebellion, the oppressive Empire, or the criminal Black Sun pirates. This mod is not for the feint of heart and will test your RTS skills with a completely overhauled AI and difficulty. Versions newer than 2.6 can be found on the steam workshop only (due to issues with the non-steam versions)
With some delay... I present you the todays Unit. The TIE Avenger, firstly introduced in TIE Fighter- The Game. Designed by Admiral Zaarin.
For this Unit I still use the old Texture, but it will get a better one in the final release of 2.7.
These models look amazing so far! Keep up the good work.
Vaders Tie is far less weaponized - I never understand that.
Vader's was the prototype and test bed for the TIE Avenger. Sienar Fleet Systems wanted to see if a compact shield generator and hyperdrive could work in the TIE design while maintaining TIE capabilities.
Grand Admiral Zaarin's TIE design, the TIE Avenger! TIE Avenger fighter hero in mod is Lieutenant Commander Thewia.
My favorite Tie design. It's a shame it was overshadowed by the Tie Defender in Legends and ignored completely in the current canon (though Kylo Ren's Tie Silencer bears more than a passing resemblance).
I like how this looks more like how it originally did in Tie Fighter. I wasn't a big fan of the greenhouse-esque canopy overhaul in later games.
Yeah it was my intention to resemble the look of the original one, it makes it more special.
I also don´t like the later Versions of it. :)
