Apocalipsis Trilogy OGSR translation
Full Version 4 commentsThe translation files for the OGSR port of the Apocalipsis Trilogy mods.
The Apocalipsis trilogy are the first 3 mod in a series of 5 mods, check out the others here:
This is an english translation patch for the Apocalipsis Trilogy OGSR port, a mod that is actually the 3 mods from the Apocalipsis Trilogy made by Zaurus crew in a single folder, ported to a 64 bit engine.
Apocalipsis description: (Taken from machine translated AP-PRO page).
Strelok returns from Pripyat with the military (the end of the Call of Pripyat) and again finds himself on Cordon. New and old characters, new factions (Search, Veterans of the Zone, Apocalypse and Bounty Hunters) and new adventures of Strelok in the Exclusion Zone. Multiple endings. Hints only in messages and dialogs.
Search Dies Irae description: (Taken from moddb)
"Search - DIES IRAE": You play the role of Slaven. He is a former soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More precisely: a sniper from the "Ukrainian Naval Infantry". Slaven is badass and makes no compromises. He is occasionally very narrow-minded and short-tempered, but carries the heart in the right place.
Sometime in autumn 2012 the radio of the Search Group breaks down. The guys have only a few supplies left and are urgently waiting for a message from "German", if there are any new jobs. Slaven decides to go alone to the power plant and have a look around. Since there are some army bases there and Slaven still has good relations to the military, he hopes that they can help him. There are certainly spare parts for the radio somewhere near the power station...
According to Murphy's law it's not as easy as it seems, of course. Already during his expedition through the power plant strange things happen which arouse the interest of Slaven...
Duty - Philosophy of War description: (Taken from moddb)
You will perform the role of "German". A rather inconspicuous member of the search group with very personal motivations. He is an honourable man who is always ready to help other people when they are in need. No matter if they are people from Freedom, Duty, Loner or even bandits and monoliths. He is not so much interested in money - much more concerned with keeping the peace - keeping things in balance. Now he gets an assignment from a mysterious stranger. He has to find a Guy named Richard Blumme and also 3 missing stalkers. The strange story about the disappearance of the stalkers makes him curious and he accepts the order. The mod focuses very much on the story and there are often several solutions for ending a quest. There are also hints in the PDA and on the map for almost all orders. But the separate solutions are only known, if you read the dialogues carefully. It's not mainly about getting money, buying, selling equipment, weapons, getting money again, etc. If you look around properly, you will find everything you need for your Odyssey through the Zone, right at the beginning...

The translation files for the OGSR port of the Apocalipsis Trilogy mods.
Yo where's the Fanatic's briefcase? I followed the quest's description and i even examined the screenshots but the briefcase is still nowhere to be seen, i even checked the corpse of the snorks and surrounding areas, where the hell is it tho?
I have successfully played both Apocalipsis and Search, but now face an issue with loading and launching Duty: Philosophy of War. I have cleared, cleaned and reloaded numerous times and face exactly the same error each time.
FATAL ERROR
[error]Expression : no_assert
[error]Function : CXML_IdToIndex<class CCharacterInfo>::GetById
[error]File : d:\a\ogsr-engine\ogsr-engine\ogsr_engine\common_ai\xml_str_id_loader.h
[error]Line : 110
[error]Description : item not found, id
[error]Arguments : dc_wolf
Any ideas or help out there?
Thanks!!
The first two were very enjoyable with the OGSR engine and the newer translation files. Grateful for the effort expended!!
Hello, I had the same crash and I managed to fix it with the latest file (Aug 18), if Duty still crashes for you then the only support I can give is recommend you to play Fallen Star and Last Stalker (linked in this mod's description), which are imo the best mods from Zaurus and that far surpass the Apocalipsis trilogy in quality. If the fix doesn't work I can give you a summary on Duty so you can jump right in Fallen Star
Your advice worked. I cleaned all files by deletion, rebooted, new dl of all files, new extractions, and followed install directions.
Am playing mod now.
Thank you! Thank you for your efforts on the mod, and for your helpful reply to my query.
Thanks, cwo!
I will dl that latest file set and start over. Perhaps there was a glitch in my earlier dl or extraction processes. I will let you know how it works.
Good hunting, stalker.
I am enjoying the first part of the mod and have no technical issues. Unfortunately, I can't find Fan's briefcase so I am unable to complete the first part. Can anyone help?
It is not in the guide's indicated location and have searched all over.

Okay, second report. I re-downloaded everything with zero interruptions and no simultaneous PC activities. Then extracted all, again, with no interruptions or simultaneous activities.
Attempted to launch game from fresh extracted files by going to bin_64 and double-clicking the game exe.
Received the same exact error instantly - "Cannot open file "fsgame.ltx". Check your working folder."
Changing the name of the folder to an English name did not help, changed nothing in the results of attempting to launch the game.
Any help out there?
Released a new update, can you try installing it and reporting back to me? Also read install instructions again, they were updated for the patch.
Thanks for the quick reply and the effort you provided, as well as the newer files uploaded.
Unfortunately, this did not help, although the nature of the error I receive is now different.
Now, my error shows in the log file as:
FATAL ERROR
[error]Expression : strchr( str, ']' )
[error]Function : CInifile::Load
[error]File : d:\a\ogsr-engine\ogsr-engine\ogsr_engine\xrcore\xr_ini.cpp
[error]Line : 208
[error]Description : Bad ini section found:
[error]Arguments : [$_na% -DÜ([
Thanks in advance for any help.
I realize the issue may be in the base file set downloaded from MediaFire rather than in the translation files. But, either way, I still cannot get the game to launch.
I have never seen a crash like that before, only advice I can give is to try extracting the mod with 7zip and moving the mod files to somewhere that isn't C:\Users\... (desktop, download folder...) or the program files folder
Not sure if it was the newer files or me figuring out the mistakes I was making. Regardless, I now have the game working and launching properly, and am playing Apocalipsis.
Very enjoyable!!
Thank you for your quick replies and help!!!
Np, I didn't really like the first mod that much, you can tell the author is still very inexperienced, but the quality gets better in Search - Dies Irae
Okay. I do not use C:\users... at all. I use a separate drive with no programs folder.
I will start over and try one more time, then report back here to you.
Thanks again for your quick replies.
