This mod attempts to reflect the reality of 13th century Europe. The starting point of the journey is year 1257 AD and attempts to be as historically accurate as possible. From this point on the player and NPC lords shape this land and fight for supremacy and control of the continent.

one thing I've noticed is a lot of the soldiers have randomly colored helmets, it really looks foolish, should go back to just black/steel colored helmets,

Why? Its historical, and doesen`t affect on gameplay.
You dont expect every knight to have the same helmet do you? They arnt a uniform force Knights, they buy armor which suits them best and with what they can afford individualy.

That is why you construct manors and gather self-leading peasant armies of 3000+ riders as meat shields against France's forces when you've taken over Pamplona and are aiming for Toulouse and Bordeaux.
