Peasants now have Civil Guards image - And so it began: The Great War of Calradia mod for Mount & Blade: Warband
Hello and welcome to And so it Began. I have taken it upon myself to edit the continent of Calradia. Now, I hear you asking me, what is within this mod? Well, well, well. Massive troop tree upgrades to say the least, followed by new equipment (Weapons, armor, etc) and a whole sortie of new banners. Is that all, you ask? No. It is not. The mod is in its very early stages of development and as a one man team, massive features (such as diplomacy, freelancer, etc) will take time to implement. I can promise you now that this mod will not be a waste of your time and you may thoroughly enjoy what it offers in-game.
Farmers from villages have a small boost in their chances against bandits. They now have between 2 and 5 Civil Guards, militiamen with crossbows and swords. You can see a few dotted in the image. Basically just given you a greater length of time to intervene in a bandit attack or assist a lord before it ends too quickly. They're relatively similar to Former Criminals, for those of you who have seen those and act upon the same principals, Crossbows > Swords. They're in the next version along with a lot more stuff.
