Really good idea, reminds me of Blitzkrieg or Sudden Strike.

How did you do this? Was there a bone or invisible object with a vision radius attached to the vehicle? Or an OCLed weapon of sorts that spawns the same object?

yes the invisible attached object. in fact the infantry squads can easier have directional LoS since there are such codes inherited from BFME. normal units also have some code but for weird reason they're not working anymore.

Description

Alternate Warfare will add directional line-of-sight as an experimental game component. For demonstration purposes, the basic line-of-sight for units in the video has been severely decreased. Under the current design, many first-line combat units will have limited vision to its flank and rear direction, especially units like MBTs, which have high HP and damage, in order to make scout units more important. We haven't determined yet whether to do the same to combat infantry units like the Rifleman Squad, as we feel that it would weakens them too much.
