Four years of an awesome mod news - Alliance at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption

March 3rd, 2016 would make Alliance at War 4 years old. I was thinking about the nights I stayed up way late coding, the good acquaintances I have met, the funny people -- some of you guys are hilarious, and the many things I have learned. Modding for this game has taught me a lot about Star Wars. Before I modded for this game, I though I was a Star Wars geek, but now I am more of a super Star Wars nerd -- which I am not complaining.

Fun fact, when I got my laptop, I had no idea I would be modding for Forces of Corruption... or any game in general. My laptop is not even meant for gaming. It possesses a 128 MB graphics card. When I got it, I had music, movies, music, Skype, music, social media, and maybe... music in mind. Ha, I really love music. I used to write short R&B and Hip Hop songs in high school, I love dancing to music, when I would go out skating or to parties, I would see what songs I could steal from the DJ. My laptop has a lot of music programs, and music editing software. I have two PC games on my laptop. I am certain everyone on here can guess what one of them is. When I was a teenager, PC gaming was never really a thing with me; never mind modding a PC game.

I still remember when I got Forces of Corruption. It was early 2011, and kind of late in the evening, and it was kind of cold out. I was sitting in the front seat of my mothers vehicle when she pulled up to a Target store. Me and some people I knew walked in. I walked to the gaming area and seen "Forces of Corruption Gold Pack" or something like that. So I picked it up, and looked at it. I thought to myself, well I have a new laptop, I wonder if it can run games. Then, about a year later, I tried modding it, and as time progressed... here we are.

Anyway, I am certain people are tired of me going down memory lane. This new update will make it slightly more difficult to spam units. I made some of the lasers look better, and... Well I do not want to give away everything I did. Just play it and tell me how you all are liking it. I did not do as much as everyone believes I did sense the last update, but simultaneously I still did a number of things for this update including adding a few things.

I do not know what else to talk about right now, but I was fighting really hard on Jakku earlier. The Empire sent a huge -- and I mean huge -- invasion force. On the planet, I had a couple of barracks, Princess Leia, and a few T-47 Airspeeders. I was sitting here trying to decide if I want to hold out, or just retreat. I thought, I will hold out, just to see if I can. Five minutes into the battle, they had taken all of the Control Points, and the whole map was crawling with stormtroopers and AT-ST's. All of my troops were getting surrounded and it became a blood bath. I had to keep using Cooling Cell to keep the stormtroopers at bay, which the Empire kept sending in. Then they sent in the AT-ST's which started attacking my T-47's, one of them even tried to walk over Leia. After awhile of fighting, they called in an orbital strike, which took out Leia, but by that time I had taken out a lot of their units. Then they sent in an AT-AT. It was slowing marching on my base. I only had one barracks left. I ordered all of my soldiers to attack it as fast as they could, but they was not dealing enough damage. The AT-AT finally reaches my base, and the lady says "our base is under attack!" I did not know what else to do. Then my last two T-47 -- both of which were badly damaged and smoking -- made a last ditch effort. One started to tie around it. I said, come on little speeder! But he got shot down. Then the other -- which was even more damaged -- begins to tie around it. The dramatic music really added to the drama, because I was sitting there saying, come on! You can do it! The AT-AT then face planted the ground and "Victory!" appeared on the screen. I said, YES!!
