There will be a part 2 and some additional lore in the future
So people can still walk inside the deadzone
Chetech yes a bit further in the lore, the chrono vortex which created the dead zone weakens and exploration becomes possible. The zone from S.T.A.L.K.E.R / Fallout are some inspirations.
