Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.
Sometimes known as the ship of the dead, the F-4 Class is an almost ancient design, being by far the oldest design still active in the empire this class has been specialized for attacking large installations. Its large central hull houses a more modern reactor that is directly charged to the main Disruptor beam emitter. Once charged it can fire a continuous high power beam that in time can take out almost any starbase. The downside of such systems is that the ship becomes a lot more vulnerable to damage and once its shields are down its almost impossible to maintain the beam.
