I'd imagine it will be similar to STA3. Models look to be similar in poly counts perhaps a bit lower due to Pre-TNG ships being less complex.

I'm not part of the team so this is just my opinion being a modeller myself.

higher poly, lower requirements due to less variety of vessels

Models will be of greater detail but fleet sizes will be much smaller.

If you can run STA3, you should be able to handle AotF easily enough.

Description

The Romulan fleet gathers at Cheron.

Cheron was once the seat of a great civilisation. Home to an extremely long-lived species of humanoids with a very unusal skin pigmentation (pure white on one half of their bodies, jet black on the other), the Cheronian civilisation gradually, inch by inch, descended into racial division, then open oppression, and finally a race war that burned their world to a cinder.

Millenia later, Cheron was the location of the most important Romulan base of the Earth-Romulan War, and the Imperial Navy's main staging ground for their invasion of Coalition space. Situated halfway between the Star Empire's borders and the region inhabited by the Coalition, Cheron was far from Starfleet's prying eyes and an ideal jumping point for the Romulan fleet. Supported by a handful of smaller bases, Cheron was the beating heart of the Romulan war effort.

Throughout the conflict, Vulcan Intelligence had been intercepting and analysing Romulan transmissions, directing Starfleet's efforts and predicting Romulan targets. Months of decoding had the Vulcans chasing down many leads in search of the Romulans' main base, most of which led to dead ends - the Romulans' capacity for counter-espionage was clearly unparalleled. With the Romulan retreat after the liberation of Denobula, however, the options were drastically narrowed down. The strongest evidence pointed to Cheron. Provided that the Romulan signals weren't simply bait for a trap, logic dictated that Cheron was the location of the Romulan base.

An unmanned probe sent to the edge of the 83 Leonis-B star system confirmed the Coalition's fears - the Romulans were gathering their forces for a second assault on the Coalition. The probe detected a large support base facility built into one of the natural satellites surrounding Cheron, along with at least eighty-seven warships orbiting the scorched planet. When the Romulans attacked once more, there would be no stopping them.
