Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.
Well, the cat's well and truly out of the bag. The TOS Bird of Prey will indeed serve as the Romulan faction's titan. And what a magnificent model she is, provided by the wonderful Hobbs203.
If you'd like a closer look at the BoP model, take a looks at Hobbs' sketchfab.

Cats out the bag, has grabbed it, and is now running away with it :P. A very nice model for the Romulan Titan. Hats off to Hobbs for his amazing talent!! Can't wait to use it!
Not complaining or trying to be nitpicky but shouldn't the Bussards be blue on the Romulan BoP?
Depending on your source, it seems they can be blue, red, or white. The model I had from, gosh, ~10 years ago had red bussards This one actuially: ( Images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com ) while the Hallmark ornament I got "recently" has blue bussards. And now that I've looked it up, I'm seeing white bussards as well on some models (the non-CGI ones).
I was thinking that the while hard to see in the Original run and the remastered TOS the ship had blue bussards. Thats why I was curious. Although I've not seen one with white before but then again its not exactly my favorite design so I never went out of my way to look for it either.
We had a long discussion regarding this and while we've seen a number of colours used in different sources, we just decided to go with the one that best fit with the other design elements of the Romulan fleet.
It's the same reason rather than a pure beige hull colour, there's a hint of green in there too. :)
Well that's gonna be a tricky titan to work with...minimal armament aside from the plasma torpedo launcher and nuclear self destruct. If memory serves it didnt even have a warp drive.
Though I suppose there aren't any other canon designs to work with, especially from that early on. They didn't get the D-7s until much later.
Actually it's got a full range of armament besides the plasma torpedo. You can see it in action in one of Gul-Dukat's recent livestreams, which I have dubbed, 'Gul's Lovestreams.'
Oh myyy!
In my head canon the power requirements of the cloaking device meant limited conventional armament in Balance of Terror.
I'm of the opinion that the BoP seen oin Balance of Terror was really little more than a testing platform for the experimental heavy plasma torpedo. It seemed pretty bare-bones.
oooo yeah.
Huh, this one surprised me, I would have thought the BoP would be awfully small for a Titan. Wouldn't it be around cruiser level?
Actually you'd be surprised at how large it is. Not as big as a Connie, certainly, but still substantial.
