I believe post-independence Syria used German vehicles and weaponry in the 1948 war against Israel. Maybe that's what it's referring to?
Spot on! if you attempt to convert a Panzer III or Panzer IV to your side whilst playing as either Iran, India or the Arab tribes, it will take on a new appearance. The same applies for the Renault R-35 too, it will turn dark green instantly.
To be honest, one of the factions I wished I could include in Age of Darkness is Israel, but I suppose until someone in the room masters EITHER Spring or Unity3d Israel will have to wait.
