Age of Chivalry is a total conversion for Half-Life 2 currently being developed by Team Chivalry. We are a close group of friends who are dedicated to creating a fun story driven multiplayer experience set in a fantasy world in the medieval ages. We are creating a fast paced and fun first person melee combat system that will take the player to a new level of immersion. The players will be able to take part in sieges, town raids and open war in a story driven game. Our goal is to let the players write the history of the game as the teams battle it out over a sequence of user controlled map cycles depending on the victor. We want to take the overall experience to a new level of fun. All of our members have a solid modding background and we hope that you support our modification as it grows and develops!

Team Chivalry is eager to announce that the highly anticipated 1.1 update is not far off. We know many of you have been waiting patiently, some impatiently. We've decide to release a little sneak peak and a few goodies just to hold you over.
We have been overwhelmed by suggestions from enthusiastic fans trying to help us make Age of Chivalry an even better experience and rest assured, your suggestions and pleas have been heard, the cure is coming. We are confident that the quality and content in this release will increase our playerbase even further than what we have seen in recent weeks and since our initial release just this past December.
If you've never tried or heard of Age of Chivalry, and epic first person medieval combat gets your blood pumpin', keep checking in because 1.1 is near. If you've previously tried the mod, and thought it needed some tweaks and fixes, here they are. 1.0 had many problems that we were completely aware of and the team has put forth great effort to remedy many of these issues. You might just want to give us another shot on this update, because your head might literally fall off!
Brief Feature List
- 3 NEW MAPS
- New weapons (including the warhammer!)
- Several new and redone animations
- All 1.0 maps were revamped and fixed.
- Objective rushing issues fixed.
- Better weapon balance.
- Lots of new sounds
- New "Hold shield" Feature (after MANY requests)
- Various further bug fixes and tweaks
- Oh and we almost forgot to mention... DECAPITATIONS!

was that trailer from ingame? Like did the person put that helmet on in game and when he was fighting did he really grab the blade of his sword when blocking? EPIC!

this was pre-rendered, prescripted and your probably not gonna see any of these animations in the real mod.
i mean, it was an awesome trailer, but you shouldn't get you hopes up about it actually being as good as this.
Correct that this is not gameplay footage, this is a trailer meant for promotional purposes and while the combat in 1.1 has been improved alot, it is not representative of what you can do, a 1.1 gameplay video trailer will be released in the next media update, so stay tuned!

I agree, but it was still epic.
I'm excited for this release. AoC showed promise in v1.0, but it still had some issues such as balance and bugs. Can't wait you guys. :)

wow, that is an epic trailer. Amazing visuals, audio and everything else. for a mod team to make this is just awesome, I hope it serves its purpose well and raises awareness for your mod. btw get it on moddb.com higher render quality than youtube.
This looks great! I played it once or twice earlier and i am gonna play it again. The trailer was really cool as well.
Looking good, nice cinematics in the trailer. One thing I'm hoping to see in 1.1 is better movement speed. It's extremely hard to enjoy myself when moving like a snail!

but that battleaxe looks pretty lowpoly, and the texture really needs some more work, that's the cleanest warhammer i've ever seen.
the maps looked cool too, just a bit empty.
